Macau sauna afternoons: therapists on from 13:00

A weekday, just past 13:00, and a guest at the counter asks: “Can you still do it this early?” In September your evening is probably already spoken for, and the therapists at 八湯御桑拿 are on shift from 13:00. The hours that are genuinely yours are the afternoon ones, and whatever you are doing that night starts at the time it was always going to start.

Book through this site and the entry fee is waived, a car is sent for you anywhere in Macau in either direction at no charge, and two 小工 add-ons come with it (小工 is the house’s word for the add-on menu: a back scrub, ear cleaning, foot reflexology, that sort of thing). The car is downstairs at the hour you named, your bag goes into a locker, and you begin.

The house is open 24 hours, so you can come in and rest at any hour (published by the venue, August 2026). The therapist shift runs 13:00 to 06:00 the next morning (same notice). Walk in at 13:05 and the hot pool, the dry sauna and a treatment room are one continuous run. Walk in at 11:00 and only half the house is usable: the baths are there, the treatments are not until 13:00. What you get to choose is the starting time; the starting time of the thing you are doing that evening is not yours.

In September the evening’s start time is fixed for you

Those hours you cannot move. The afternoon of the same day is empty end to end: soak, sweat it out, finish the treatment, and still get back to your hotel to change before you head out.

Mr Qiu, a Taipei guest who booked through this site last month and is coming back in September for an evening session, put the sauna before the event this time. We asked him one thing: what time he had to leave that night. “I need to be out by early evening,” he said. So he came in that afternoon, started in the hot pool hall, moved to the hinoki dry sauna, then the glass steam room, and finished in a private massage room, which has its own bath, so there was no walking back out to rinse off. He left with dry hair and nothing about his evening changed.

The car that collects you is a high-end private car, it covers all of Macau, and neither leg costs you anything. The point of the afternoon is that nobody is hurrying you through any of it.

Can treatments actually be done in the afternoon?

Yes. The therapist shift starts at 13:00 (published by the venue, August 2026), and from then on treatments and the massage rooms are available. Arrive earlier and the house is open, but only the bathing half of it is any use to you.

I have something on that night. How do the times work?

Put the time you have to leave that evening into your message and we work backwards from it: when the car comes, when you check in, how long the treatment runs. Remembering your leaving time is all that is asked; the rest is confirmed for you.

The sign says 八湯御. Is that the same place?

It is. The sign reads 八湯御, the full name is 八湯御桑拿, and it is the fourth floor of the New Orient Landmark Hotel. 御桑拿, 八湯桑拿, 八湯水療, 御水療 and Yu Spa all point here, and so does searching for a Macau sauna or a Macau spa at this address.
